Non EEA member with permanent residency - pls help with form

Post by Pitarda » Tue Jan 27, 2015 2:06 pm

Hi Guys,

I would really appreciate some clarification on my question.

I am not from European Union and was married to EAA national ( A8), came to UK in 2008, divorced in 2013, retained rights of residence and received permanent residency in January 2014. I am completing form for naturalization and not sure if I have to complete section 2.4. "EEA nationals" exercising EC Treaty Rights or tick question: "or a family member of an EEA national?" . Technically, I am not a EEA family member any more, but I have retained rights and got permanent residency of this bases.

Does anyone came across or had to deal with this type of application?

Thanks alot!

I am exactely in same position and applied for naturalisation 19th Jan;

You are not an family member of EEA national anymore so you can leave that section blank
if you have applied for EEA4 and PR Card issued then put the date of issue of it in the section of date of ILR granted because this is the same thing as i was told by gurus and the lady at NCS

Hi Haadi83
Has your fee been deducted and have you also received your acknowledgement?

Thanks a lot Haadi83! I will do it the same way you did.
Do you mind me asking what documents did you provide with your application? I was thinking to send bank statements, payslips, P45s P60s and rent agreements for the last 5 years.

it is still not showing as a transaction yet but yesterday my account balance reduced by £906 it means they processed it yesterday.
Have you received acknowledgement yet ?

you don't need to submit that many documents if you have been issued EEA4 PR CARD because you already submitted all those when you applied for EEA4. so the following documents required to submit in your case which I did and accepted by NCS;

AN APPLICATION FORM
PASSPORTS (COVER YOUR LAST FIVE YEARS)
PR CARD (IF ISSUED SEPARATE NOT ON PASSPORT)
LIFE IN THE UK TEST
PROOF OF ENGLISH (B1, UK DEGREE, IELTS ETC)

if your passport doesn't cover last five years then you need to provide pay slips, p60, letter from employers etc
