ILR and TFL Penalty Fare notice

Hi guys,

Need your help.
I was wrongly given a penalty fare notice this week on the London underground.
I am due for ILR after 10yrs of stay in the UK in Feb 2017.

1. Will this affect my ILR application if I make the payment immediately before 21days run out.
No court is involved.Can just pay online or post.

2. I have asked 3 ticket officers and all told me this is a mistake. If I appeal and lose the appeal for some reason, will this affect my ILR application.

3. Do I need to declare this PFN in application?

What do you mean by you were wrongly given the penalty fare ???

If you were wrongly given why are you thinking you will lose the court appeal ???

Also how much is the penalty ?

What do you mean by you were wrongly given the penalty fare ???
Because I had the right ticket at the time but officer refused to believe otherwise because i couldn't show him proof cos of no internet access on the tube and for some reason he wasnt aware of thameslink agreement with tfl.
All the tfl staff i have spoken to after the incident have seen no reason why i should be given the penalty

If you were wrongly given why are you thinking you will lose the court appeal ???
i guess i just believe i wont receive a fair judgement since i hear that they just reply with template letters to previous customers
i am already contacting my MP.

Also how much is the penalty ? £40
