Switch from Tier 4 to Tier 2 (General)

Hello all,

I will be on student visa (T4) this year, and I was wondering if I can switch to Tier 2 (General) before i complete my studies?

Is this possible?

if you meet all the conditions of a tier 2 visa then there is no one stopping you to switch to tier 2.

Does that mean I have to go to my home country and withdraw my tier 4 visa and apply for tier 2?

Or the switch(tier 4 to tier 2) can be done in the Uk?
