Life inUK Test

Post by marsplastic » Fri Jan 30, 2015 2:54 pm

Hello,
My husband is applying for ILR (SET(M). He has his Life in the UK test on the 6th Feb 2015. We have booked an appointment with the Document Checking Service in the 10th Feb and we have booked an appointment at a premium service centre on the 16th Feb. 2015. His visa (FLR) expires on the 27th Feb.

My question: what should we do if he fails the life in the UK test on the 6th Feb 2015? He is revising so hopefully he won't but I like to have a backup plan if possible. There are not many appointments for this test it seems and the next available one is not until sometime in the middle of March. There was an 8 week waiting for this appointment on the 6th.

Apart from this Life in the UK test requirement he/we meet all the other requirements.

Advice appreciated.
Regards.

Apply for FLR(M).

I would highly recommend checking out https://lifeintheuktests.co.uk/ and doing some life in the uk practice tests - https://lifeintheuktests.co.uk/life-in-the-uk-test-1/ if you haven't already done so. Difficulty wise the test is not hard and with right preparation he will pass first time in 2015.

Hello Marsplastic,

You have two options.

1- Please book multiple tests. For example you already book test on 6th, so please book an other test on 11, 12, 13, 14, or any data. If he pass on 6 Feb so you can cancel other test easily and will not lose money. for booking the test, Please set the alarm or schedule notification in your mobile for every an hour so you can check booking for every an hour, I hope you will find nearest date as A lot of people cancel their booking.

2- If he fails again on 6th, so you guys can cancel your 16 Feb appointment and can book again before 27 Feb. If you cancel 4 or 5 days before so you will not lose 100 pounds.

I hope it helps.

Thanks everyone for your replies. We have been checking for additional appointments but there is nothing in the nearest 5 test centres. It is a shame you are restricted to these areas.

Hi Marsplastic,

There is no question of failing in the life in the UK test, if you buy the 3rd edition book from http://www.tsoshop.co.uk/ official website and read the book at least 6 times and understand the chapters. And practice sample tests from online websites i.e. http://www.lifeinuktests.co.uk http://www.thelifeinuktest.co.uk or other online websites.
