visa fees mistake

Post by ashu.doc » Sun Feb 01, 2015 1:24 am

Hi Everyone
I have recently applied for tier 2 general visa. My COS says "yes" for resident labour market test so my job is not in shortage occupation list. I did not realise this and selected yes for shortage occupation in my application and subsequently paid less fees.
What will happen now? Will home office reject the application or will they ask to pay the difference? If they reject the application will I have to get a new COS?

Thanks
Ash

whatever is in the CoS, is your job a shortage occupation?

if it is a shortage occupation do nothing, if it is not a shortage occupation write to the HO and enclose a cheque for the difference (use P.O. Special Delivery). Your application can be varied before a decision is made on it.

Hello ashu.doc,

what happens with your visa application last year with this mistake?

My solicitor did the same mistake now, and when i spoke to home office people they said it will be an issue.

I have a premier appointment on wed 29th June.

Thanks,
