Falling just short of 5 years?

Post by twrist » Sun Feb 01, 2015 9:58 pm

Hi there,

We're about to apply for our second FLR (M) and it has occurred to us that at the expiry of this second 30 months, we may fall short of the full 5 years required for Settlement (ILR). This depends on when we make the application, and how long they take to make their decision, obviously (!), though ours is a very straightforward case and there appears to be no guidance as to what to do if you are just a couple of months short. Will the Home Office add remaining time on my husband's current BRP to the new BRP?

Thanks all!
