UK fiance visa - certified documents adequate?

Post by ant_uk » Sun Feb 01, 2015 4:32 pm

Hi all,

I'm a British citizen and my fiance is Japanese. We are applying for a UK fiance visa which my fiance will submit from Japan, but I'm not sure if I, as a sponsor, have to provide my original passport and/or birth certificate. I have certified copies both of these documents but is a certified copy adequate or must I submit both the original documents and certified copies?

Thanks for the help! :)

Ant

No,certified copies are good enough, there's no place where's it's stated to submit original if applying from abroad.

Thanks for the reply Rayking. We just wanted to make sure that we didn't miss anything when reading the visa requirements!
