SET(O) 7.11 How long you have lived in the UK?

Post by tehminamazher » Sat Jan 31, 2015 2:10 pm

Hi, Seniors,

I have booked a PEO appointment for 06 February 2015

Visa Stamp Date = 030-03-2010
UK Entry Date = 29-05-2010 (87 days late)

Please can someone help me what to write in
Section 7.11 How long you have lived in UK ?
4 years , 08 months
or
4 Years , 11 months (if that is the case any justification )

Thanks

TM

I feel extremely sorry saying that after Sushdmehta and Amber, most of the time, people dont care to help. 80 views and no one bothers to reply.

Previously on many ocasisons the names i have mentioned have me helped me a lot and I always feel that the forum is not the same as was when Sushdmehta and Amber were actively participating

I know that no one is bound to help here on the forum but still looks thing are not the same as before :( :( :(

I find this question, SET (O) 7.11, a bit odd...

so if someone enters the UK after 2.5 months of visa start date:
they are eligible to apply for ILR within 28 days of the visa expiry (since they came in within 90 days)
BUT
their stay in the UK, at the time of applying, will be 4 years and (maybe) 9 months

So the continuous period requirement for ILR is not the same as how long one lives in the UK?

As you have got 87 days gap in visa issue date and entrance date so you can count from your visa issue date. It would be fine. No prob at all. If in any case, the gap is more than 90 days then entrance date is taken as start of qualifying period.

Seniors / Moderators Guru,

I was rechecking the form and again please some one can guide me what to write in

6.1 When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which this application is based.

My VISA Satmp date on passport is 03-03-2010
I enetered UK on 29-05-2010
My expiry date is 29-5-2015

So what should I write as I am confused with this part
This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which this application is based.
if I write 03-03-2010 they might refuse saying false information submitted
If I write 29-05-2010 they might say you need to complete 5 years before applying for ILR.

By thinking these questions again and again I am having sleepless nights

Please Please Sushdmehta, Amber Malik, seniors any one please help as I have got only one day left amd I need to finalize everything please understand my situation.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I think you can mention the actual entry date as your date of entry but mention the 90 day visa start buffer in your covering letter. It shouldn't be a problem.

All the best for your ILR. Keep us posted.

Cheers,

Please my last post before ILR and hopefully someone will reconfirm as I need to sleep :( :(

HSMP VISA STAMP Date = 03-03-2010
UK Entry on =29-05-2010
Visa Valid till = 29-05-2015
PEO date =07-02-15

Please comfirm if these are right

Section 6.1 = 03-03-2010
Section 7.11 = 4 years 8 months

I will be extremely extremely thankful to all the seniors

The above post should give you confidence.

Or you can email them and get a clarification, my planned application in april will be based on similar 90 days concession

here is the email I have from this forum only :
