Applying Tier 1 General Dependent Visa

Hi Folks,

I will be applying for Tier-1 general dependent visa for my wife from Pakistan . We got married in Oct,2014 . This is my second marriage . My first marriage end up in divorce.

I will submitting following list of documents. Please let me know If I am missing any thing:

1. Copy of my passport and UK Tier-1 (General) Visa attested by Post office uk.
2. Personal Bank statements showing maintenance funds and salary transactions.
3. Marriage certificate both in local language and English translation attested by Foreign office.
4. Wedding cards and Wedding pics.
5. Pay slips and Employment letter from my current employer.
6. Documents related to my previous marriage includes Divorce certificate, acknowledgement letter from Home office for Change of Circumstances application and photocopies of my ex-spouse passport pages showing the exit stamp.
6. Phone bills + calling cards as proof of telephone correspondence with my spouse.
7. Money transfer receipts for the money I have sent to my spouse in Pakistan.
8. Tenancy agreement and letter from letting agent as proof of accommodation.
9. Council tax bills for the flat I am renting in UK.

These documents are enough. Thats what i submitted for my wife visa.

Make sure your marriage certificate is registered with union council. Get a computerised copy from union council.

Hi Mate .

Sorry to hear about your previous marriage, I dont recall that you need to mention on the online form if you already been married before ?

All the other docs you mentioned are fine.

1. NICOp or NIC card for both (Ideally the address on wife NIC should be your home address)
2. Xray for wife

Thank Asim for your immediate response. Sure I will get computerised copy from union council. One more thing , did you attest your English translation of Marriage certificate with Foreign office? I have yet not attested mine , but have attested with notary public?

Hi askhan,
Thanks for the advice. Just want to confirm couple of things:
1- By Xray do you mean TB screening.
2- the addresses are same on our Nic cards but they are in local language(Urdu). Will it still be ok to submit nics?

No, no need to attest any translated documnents from foreign office.

Tb test is a must have document.
