Post by vikastandon75 » Sun Sep 16, 2007 1:24 am

Can any one one help me
1) 5 Years need to have a PR?
2) 3 year Work Permit + 2 Year HSMP is OK?
3) Is any break between the renew dates of Work permit allowed? If so how many?
4) Is the any break between the renew dates of VISA Issued allowed? If so how many?
5) Is the Work permit date OR VISA Date is counted for PR

I have stayed continously But had a 4 trip to india for a period of
3-4 week each IS this a valid continous stay of coming up 5 Year in 2008

WP Issue Date | Period | Visa Issue Date | Valid Till

1. Yes 5 years...BUT it is not PR! PR = permanent residency = what EU/EEA nationals and their family members receive. Non-EU or EEA nationals get ILR - Indefinite Leave to Remain. They are the same, but it is important to understand the distinction.
2. Yes
3. I don't think breaks are a problem, no. But someone else can clarify on this point
4. Same as above
5.The date you enter the UK is the starting clock for ILR, i.e. when it was stamped at the airport upon entering.

That's right, duplicate threads are not allowed, so I shall now lock this one.
