The baby will have to be endorsed on the mother's passport first of all.
Then for the documents that u need to submit:

The main dependant passport,
The mother's passport if she is not the main dependant.
The long birth certificate showing ur relationship with the baby
i dont think it is necessary to submit ur marriage certificate again.
Passport photo for the baby

Our baby is also due in December, 2007 and I am completing 5 Year (3 years WP and 2 years HSMP) in August, 2008.

1) Do I need to fill FLR(O) form for my baby?

2) Can I wait 8 months and once I get my ILR apply directly for British Citizenship for baby as we are not planning to travel?

Thanks

Friends,

Correct me if I am wrong. But isnt a baby born in UK a British National automatically ?

No, one of the parent should have ILR.

Thanks

Baby will not be endorsed on the mother's passport. To get UK visa, you need to apply for separate passport from the embassy of your country and then need to send it along with the documents mentioned above.
Baby will receive the separate dependent visa on separate passport.

My understanding is even if one of the parent has an ILR status in UK the new born baby won't get British Nationality by birth.
New born baby will have to get a Passport and will be on dependent status.

Only British National Parents or one of them can pass british Nationality to their baby.
