Tourist Visa Applying Process

Hi,

I am applying tourist visa for my wife, who has recently become British Citizen as we need to fly to India soon.

I have booked an appointment at Birmingham.

She has completed the online application and arranged all supporting docs with photos.

Completed application, signed.
Declaration page signed.
One photo attached, and another photo.
Original British passport
Original cancelled Indian passport
Original Surrender Certificate
copy of surrender certificate.
copy of cancelled Indian passport ( all pages).



Could somebody please advise what exactly happens in the appointment.

Hi,

All that is needed is

1. completed application form
2. The fees (which can be paid by card)
3. Copy of surrender certificate
4. British passport original

(keep originals surrender certificate and cancelled Indian passport with you just in case they ask for verification).
It takes 3 days and you can choose your British passport with the tourist visa to be posted to your home address or you can tell explicitely that you will come back to get it in person(my preferred way).

I just applied for mine and the procedure and process both are quite simple and straightforward.
