overtime calculation

Hello everybody

i have a problem that u tried to understand i hope someone can help me
i have a job that i earn 17000 a year but i have an overtime and commission for that last 6 months except December
i have read in Annex FM1 7 Financial requirement that overtime and commission in salaried employment has to be considered as income and calculated same as non salaried employment in an annualised 6 month basis
does it mean that i have to see my overtime and commission overall devised it by 6 multiply by 12
or December will be a problem
please help

Yes - you have to work out the average amount earned over the last 6 months then multiply by 12. You then add that figure to your basic salary.

does it mean then that December wont be an issue and so i calculate starting from august to January including December then divided by 6 MUL BY 12 and add to my annual income??

some people say that they count it from the month i had less earning but i couldnt find this in the the new Annex fm financial requirement
can u guide me in this please

December wont be a problem as long as you have earned £1600 or more in over time.

actually my overtime only is 1599,22 but with commission its 1700
i calculate it as following

Total overall income Job 18,709.06

i dont know if i calculate it right or commission is not relevant

sorry to ask too many question but i really need help as anybody here as i am in an awkward situation

i want to mention that i am slaried employee 17000 a year but in december i was sick for one day is that should be fine i mean my overtime can cover it cuz i found out i have overtime in december as well or i have to count now my 6 MOnth before december

mentioning that its umpaid sick my company doesnt pay for sick

please someone can help me please

How are you sure you're in salaried employment if they don't pay for sick off,you mean you don't get paid if you don't work?
I'm asking bcos sometimes it pays not to be.

Well,as long as none of your payslip's monthly gross is below 1550,you should be fine,if it is below and you claim it's salaried, then the lowest will be used to calculate your finances.

i want to mention as well that i have a second job that i got paid minimum 10 hours but i didn't get paid the week i was sick for both
jobs if put my first job and second job toguther in december i wont have more 1500 only in december other months i make more
do u think that will be a problem

You said you know you're in salaried employment, why did you say you're in salaried employment or how do you know.

first job is salary emplyee cuz i have a fixed monthly wage my contract is 17000a year
my second is hourly i get minimum 10 hours a week with 6.55
but i was sick in december for 1 day in both jobs

You should be fine with the second job if you've done that for 6 month. I was just concern about your employer stating your annual income is 17000,that might cause a confusion but with the second job,you should be fine.
Does it mean your overtime is paid separately or it comes with your monthly income?
You need to get this requirement right 100% though.

actually i get my overtime with my wage monthly

i want to mention that on my second job i was in holiday for 4 weeks i got paid for3 weeks more than may basic wage
but the 4 the week i got paid less than my basic wage
but when i calculate based on the lowest income which is the fourth wage i get more income
fourth week wage holiday was 35 pounds

35 pounds muktiplied by 52 weeks thats actually more than the benchnark
am i wring
please guide me as am depressed to know what to do

That means you have total gross for each month right? That's what you need.we'll sort it out if you can state your gross for each month.
Secondly, forget you're salaried for now,just state what your gross is in the last 6 month for your first job.
Because your income varies each month,it goes up and down depending on what you do, you can claim non salaried.
Let's look at this scenario first.

Don't be depressed, you gonna be fine,just trust your ability. :D

That's 9384.59,multiply by 2, 18769.18.
You're fine with this,
The letter they want from your employer to calculate your annual income should be based on your income in the last 6 months,multiply by 2 to give your projected annual income, NOT,what you were told when taken the job.

To then cover your back,add the total for your second job in the last 6 months and multiply it by 2.
From each of your employer, get a letter stating:

1.Your employment and gross annual income (base on what you've earned in 6 month×2)
2.Length of employment
3.Period over which the amount you relied on has been paid.
4.Type of employment

Note:the letter is very important and must state this income.
You can ask if anything isn't clear to you.

please tell me u dont think they will calculate basedon the lowestmonth which was in december ?

actually in the employee letter i put the contracted salary i put that i get a overtime added to my wage
is that shoud be fine or do i need to put something else ?

so do u think that my sick day in december wont be a problem ?
shall i get a letter from my employee that i was sick in that day from both jobs ??

The actual amount must be stated in your employer's letter,the letter is from your employer not you.
Telling them you were sick can actually cause more confusion in my opinion, it has no effect, even if they will refuse the application, financial requirement can't be compromised for anything.

can u tell me what do u mean by the length of employment ?
is it mandatory that the letter has to contain my gross income during the 6 month beceause that can be confirmed easily in my wg slips if it contain my contracted annual salary and my overtime as an addition will that be fine?

Length of employment is how long you've been working for your employer, it could be months or years.
May be you should go and read the financial requirement again,people have been refused for not providing letter as specified on this forum,look through and you'll find one or two. It's just an advice though.

you are completely right i wish i can find a sample as i tried to look for it here and i couldnt find

the lenght of employment mentioned in my letter was by mentioning when i started but i dont know if thats ok or i have to put how many months or years in each job
