It seems until they publicly release more recent numbers, HO won't release numbers more recent than Sept 30th through the FOI.

Digging in the excel attachments I see that next public data update should be 26 February. Could be worth submitting an FOI about a week before then.

Seems others from August, July April etc are beginning to receive letters informing them that there application has been idnetified to take more than 6months due to the new rules whihc came into effect in december 2014...really strange why people should be judged on rules which came into force after applications have been submitted.

Obviously if one knows he/she does not qualify for naturilisation based on the new rules he/she wouldnt have applied. Hence after taking your hard earned GBP906 and waiting for 9months HO will just drop the bomb to say your application has not been approved at this instance...Just not right..!!

I think it has to do with criminal checks in the applicants home country and places where the applicant has lived.

This is not good – I have lived in 3 countries before UK and one of them won’t furnish a clean record that easily given its extremely inefficient and bureaucratic… this may turn into a year long wait.

I have asked for the return of my original documents and at least I can go on with life...I have decided not to let it bother me anymore. Its just not right that people should be treated this way...Over 6months for checks to be carried out even after paying GBP906?..Damm its just not right. One will expect some good service after quickly collecting your 906 from these guys but nada!!..

I still need to see to believe it, but just wanted to share with you.

I got my letter acknowledging receipt of application on Sept 25 (Applied via NCS)
Have been living in UK for 10 years
I'm a EEA citizen (with no PR card, which is also good news as apparently these cases were taking 7 months...)
Citizenship approval received: 6 Feb (if my wife is correct)

how many from September received infamous the brown envelope telling them to wait further 6 months?

has anyone got any update from HO re. how they are planning to process "lucky" June-Septmeber applications?

I think any or a vast majority of September applicants receiving brown envelope now is likley to receive either "wait further 6 months" or "refusal"

I did not realise thats what HO meant when they mentioned "they were going to deal with these cases by 27th February 2015" (saw in some other post cant remeber which one)

I dont think any Septemer appicants have received such letter (nobody has reported getting one). I don't think we will get these until 6th month have passed.

Its just a mega colossial fraud...to be experiencing such...Mega fraud...quick to take the 906 but late to deal with application...906 is not pennies...its massive

Hi, I am one of the Sep 14 applicants. Keep coming here and keep hurting myself seeing people getting approvals in weeks. Not that I'm unhappy for all those brothers and sisters who are super lucky. I just die a little everytime I see 2015 applications getting approvals.i think it's natural. I never thought I would have this kind of feeling but I do feel a bit down. I hope we hear something positive sooner than we hope. I read somewhere that HO plans to complete pending applications by 27th Feb. I hope it's 2015 and not 2016 or 2017 as that's the level of hope I have at the moment.

My advice is to stop reading 2015 threads. You will subject yourself to more pain otherwise...

As explained earlier, by completion by 27th Feb, HO meant that there will be a response like "wait further 3-6 months+do not dare to contact us".. and thats exactly what is happening to june, jule and august applicants now who are just past 6 months...

if further checks take 6 more months what did they do the first 6 months and how do they decide a majority cases in a months time? coomplete lack of accountability and trying to make the stats look better.....

Hi guys after a bad and stressful day in work I have come home and I have seen a brown envelope. Though may be nothing but the home office logo was on it so I opened it and seen my approval. Guys I'm so happy and I want to say a big THANK YOU to the moderators and lovely people that share their thoughts and experience here. And not last for those who waiting for a approval be patience that you will get it soon as you don't expect. they have started to moving quicker

My timeline is

Date of application :29 sept 2014
Eligibility criteria : EEA 6 years ( Romanian ) WITHOUT PR card
Date of acknowledge letter : 8 October
Date of approval: 11 feb 2015 , dated 30 jan (so 4 months)
Ceremony : will book tomorrow

Congrats to you! May I ask you I you had declared any civil penalty or anything at all that requires additional checks to be done ? The reason am asking is because we will wt to know if applications that's required additional checks like pcns etc have been checked and tarted moving and that a very useful info for ppl like us. Thanks !

I haven't declared anything as I havent got any points or convictions. I only rang them twice in November and December then I got fed up and decided to wait and forget about it

I can't believe it!!! I have just got it!!! There it was, the glorious brown envelope.

So here is my timeline:
EEA 6 years, no PR
Applied: 13 Sept 2014
Acknowledged: 26 September
Approved: 12/02/2015 (letter dated 08/02/2015)
Ceremony: will book tomorrow
