Questions in Application Form-HSMP

Post by Ali_Sch » Thu Nov 18, 2004 1:57 pm

Hi,

Please any one clarify for me the following points in Application Form for HSMP.

1) Part three-General Information - Have you ever been bankrupt & charged of any criminal or civil offense.
If I tick "No", do I need to give any evidence now., like Police certificate. When they will demand police certificate as I have to get one from Saudi which is time consuming

2) Is it necessary to fill (revised) application, on the soft copy. & then print it out. Or have to fill application after print out.

3) I am expected to leave to another country with a month or two after applying, when should I give them detail of my revised address & contact no. & in what format.

4) Regarding bank statement to support ourself in UK, it is given in Guidance but not mentioned in Application Form, when one has to provide such evidence for self support.

Thanks

No you need not give any evidence for it.
2) Is it necessary to fill (revised) application, on the soft copy. & then print it out. Or have to fill application after print out.
You can submit handwritten applications
3) I am expected to leave to another country with a month or two after applying, when should I give them detail of my revised address & contact no. & in what format.
You will need to contact them at the time of changing your address either by fax or email. There is no specific format, just a formal letter quoting your hsmp reference number and your change of details should be sufficient.
4) Regarding bank statement to support ourself in UK, it is given in Guidance but not mentioned in Application Form, when one has to provide such evidence for self support.
You will need to show evidence of self support after you have got your HSMP approval and you are preparing to go for your entry clearence in the form of bank statements/balances, on how you intend to accomodate yourself etc

1. No need to prove if you don't have a criminal record, just don't lie because it will invalidate the whole visa in the future.
2. You can fill and print or print and fill, keep the information clear and easy to read (no funny letters)...
3. You can tell them you changed address anytime, as closer you get to the 26 weeks or the expected time, you should try to avoid changing locations to avoid loosing the initial doc..
4. create an annex, explaining that you have funds to support yourself...show the statements and other docs you deem relevant

just to try and answer some of your Q's. you dont have to prove that you have not been bankrupt or convicted.
on filling in the form, i would say do whatever suits you, of course if you have the worst handwriting in the world, it might be better to try and fill it on PC then printing it and signing it

on the address that is rather difficult, cuase given that they are taking more than 6 months to process. best to give the address to the place where you will be staying within the next 4- 6 weeks so that you can get the acknowledge letter. then once you have moved then you write to them and let them know. aanother option will be, if you have relatives or friends in the uk you could give their address as it will be quicker for you to get information that way.

i think the proof of funds really comes in at Entry clearance stage. what you could do now is to mention it in the section that asks about 'the plans you have set up to find work in the uk'

here is another question for all you. Here is the situation, a good friend of mine is living in London and I want HO to send the documents back to his address. Where do you think I have to mention his address? In the Cover Letter? In the Application Form (he can't be my Legal Representative since he is not a lawer or related)?

You should be able to do that. Its the address you specify in the application that is marked as the return address. You could put your friend's address there. I think it was noddy who put his relatives address. Search the forum for more info.

Dear Freinds,

1) I am not very good in Word, Please guide me regarding

a) How to tick check box, (On double clicking Box of Section 2: Application details, small window appears However on clicking gender box nothing appears)

b) In part 3 (Past earnings from your work), there is some highlited Box, should we delete this & write /or have to fill inside that highlited space.

2) Regarding address, my contact address will remain the same, just my current address & telephone no is going to change as I am gong to another country, should I inform once I change current address not contact address.

I highly appreciate your time for guidance. Thanks a lot.
