I agree with other members.
It is frustrating to wait so long and checking post each day with hope. It is shocking there is no movement whatsoever for us remaining October applications.
Soon it will 4 months for me. Unbelievable

i didnot see any approval for naturalisation app coming through in 2015.the only 1 approval was dated dec2014 and arrived in jan 2015. Seems like they either have not started working on it or they all on hold

Hi everyone,

I posted my timeline previously. I have now received confirmation of application successful, here is my timeline, and story again and now.

Eligibility criteria Joint application, both applicants on ILR
Language criteria met ESOL Entry level certificate (Entry 3)
Current nationality South African

There are a couple of things to note with my application. They wrote me the beginning of December stating that I did not meet the language requirement by virtue of submitting my BTEC Level 7 diploma (the highest BTEC qualification the UK offers) which I got here in the UK. I then had to go and do an English practical verbal exam, which I did and submitted to them on the 22nd of December.

So there was a slight delay there, coupled with Christmas and new year. In total it took 116 days from date of submission to date of approval received, or 3.86 months.

The letter now states they will write within two weeks which will be the invitation to ceremony, after which I think we apply for the passport. From what I have heard, it can take two to six weeks from there and then it is done and dusted.

Yeah getting a letter like that asking for extra details tends to be a good sign that it's the last hurdle before they give you your approval! Congrats.

Fingers crossed for plenty of positive movement with Oct apps this week.

My letter says to call within 21 days for oath ceremony. I did call, but the operator asked me to wait for invitation from council Registrar office therefor again 'I am WAITING', but hope won't be long this time:)

Yes the wait is certainly quite frustrating.
On the general timeline forum lots of people who have been waiting for more than 6 months have received a letter that as their application could not be decided within 6 months , it can take further 3-6 months.
