Eligibility criteria: 5+ EEA family member + 15 months ILR
Language criteria met: (UK) Masters degree + Life in the UK test
Current nationality: Albanian
Method of application: NCS
Council name if NCS used: Bracknell
Date of application: 11/07/2014
Payment method CC/DC, Personal cheque, Bankers cheque etc: Debit Card
Date of receipt by UKBA: Can't remember
Date of acknowledgment: Dated 24/07/2014
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 24/07/2014
Date approval received: Waiting
Date of ceremony:Waiting

Sent a letter to the caseworker in mid January for an update, and just like the rest of you I also received same letter from HO, (last Friday) that I have to wait a further 3-6 months. The response did not have caseworker's initials or any signature, which makes me believe that this is a general response without any specific reasons on why my (your) application has been delayed. This is really frustrating, as when I have tried to speak to the call centre, they don't have a clue what's happening, while writing to the caseworker provides a standard reply.

I applied on the 28th of Jan and still haven't an acknowledgement letter but the fees have been debited. Should I be worried?

Hi, I've applied at the end of November 2014, money were withdrawn on 12th of December. But no acknoledgement letter or any news since then. I thought it would take about 2 months, so was not bothered, but now, having read this forum, it looks like so many people received approvals within one month. I thought my case was straitforward: same employer, work permit + Tier 1 + ILR. Should I start worrying? Can I call somewhere to find out the status? If so what details do they ask for to check the progress? Thank you.

Hey you are not alone, there are so many people who have gone past 6 month without even the letters of receipt. Do not think too much about, it is all normal.

AFTER FRIGGING WAITING FOR 11 MONTHS, THE " NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE" HO SENT MY APPROVAL. THEY WROTE BACK TO MY MP WHO HAPPENS TO BE THE IMMIGRATION MINISTER THAT THEY WERE INVESTIGATING ENGLISH TEST CERTIFICATE BECAUSE SOME CENTRES WERE INVOLVED IN SOME KIND OF FRAUD. I NEVER NEEDED A LANGUAGE TEST IN THE FIRST PLACE. END OF THIS LONG JOURNEY IS NEAR. FLYING BACK TO DO THE CELEBRATION PRIVATELY AND AM OUT AGAIN. GOOD LUCK TO ALL THOSE STILL WAITING FROM FEBRUARY 2014

Hi i am new to this but regarding the above post when you say that you are flying back for the ceremony and flying out again did u mean you are in your home country right now? Have u been able to travel during the naturalisation process for more than 3 months? Was wondering this. I applied in june 2014 and received a 3-6month letter last week.

Hi
I applied june of last year and only just received the 3-6 month letter last week. I was wondering whether we are allowed to travel whilst our application is being processed? I have my original documents so that's not an issue but is there any restrictions on how long you are out of the country and also does it affect the application? I don't understand why people who applied from june last yr are not a priority and people who have applied in january this year have already had approvals. I know thats a common frustration on this forum but the waiting and uncertainty is starting to get tedious now. Glad to know mt case isn't unique though. Would appreciate an answer to my queries re travel.
Thanks.

nothing yet aswell, seems like people who applied this year are priority.

Yes you are right, I discuss one immigration lawyer he was telling me they have achieved the 2014 nationality target, that is why they delaying process till new election this year. ( its a point scoring game for politicians ) who give less nationality and we all knows this ruling party.
And processing JAN application quick because the year just started and they have penalty limit left for this year.

Please comment on it if it is make sense.

Yes that does make sense although i hadnt heard of this or considered it even. So our applications were selected at random i take it? And should we expect to hear in may f thatis when the elections are? And what about some of the people that did apply in 2014 and are getting their approvals now? The 3-6 month letter sounds like a delaying tactic.

Hi sorry for the delay in getting back. I applied in Feb 2014. travelled out after 6 months of my application ie Aug 2014 to do a contract job out of UK, my approval arrived while I was away. There is no restriction on travelling after few days of application, so long as you have your docs with you. I spoke to the consulate where I am now and was told I could do ceremony if I get certificate transferred to them but I do not want any complication so am travelling for 7.5 hours back. Hope this helps.
