Working Tax Credit and FLR

Post by z85 » Tue Feb 17, 2015 8:23 pm

Hi everyone,

I have a quick question to ask about Working Tax Credit:

My husband is in the UK on a spouse visa and we have applied for Working Tax Credit in joint names. We are both working and claim no other benefit. I am concerned about this as I have now been advised that my husband should not be claiming any benefits or credits because it specifies this on the passport on his visa stamp.

This is also stated on the following government website:

https://www.gov.uk/tax-credits-if-movin ... on-control

He has applied for an extension of his visa on FLR(M) as he is trying to pass both LIUK and B1 tests. We have mentioned that we are in receipt of Working Tax Credit on the form.

Is it wrong to claim? Should I be worried?
