I am writing in regard to your outstanding application for British Citizenship,
We aim to process all applications within 6 months from the date submitted. However, in certain circumstances this target is not possible. Following our assessment of your case, unfortunately it appears your application will not be processed within the 6 months target.

Following recent clarification of the Nationality rules greater levels of scrutiny will he applied to certain applications. This will be dependent on certain indicators within their immigration history that pre-date the application for British citizenship. Your case has been identified as such a case and will not be decided within 6 months

We expect to make a decision on your application within the next 3 to 6 months but we will write to you again if this is not going, to be possible. Please note we will contact you with further updates and can advise you do not need to contact us again unless your circumstances change significantly.

Please do not contact the UKVI Contact Centre regarding the progress of your ease as they will not be able to provide any further information.
This also applies to any family members whose applications for citizenship were submitted at the same time.

I got the exact same letter today afternoon ,exactly the same...this is unbelievable!!!hw people who applied after this drama of extra check applied not affected and got approval in 2 weeks,but us who applied over 6 months ago hot affected and all of us at the same time????arr we all criminal and dangerous to society???all of us has to be ,othereise what else can be!!!!! This is against our nationality ,faith or what else ????? It's not possible all of us be the Same,thers something else going on..I bet on it on my life even this independent review was deal done between themselves because lots of complaints happened by person or they're Mp's ,they had to have something in theyre gun to shoot at us in the time they're mule get on the edge,and nw that was the time...no I don't believe for s moment something wrong with us..I knw I got noting to be worry Like criminal records or etc....no noting wrong with us..thers something is wrong with those staff and God knows what a crap job they done to end up everyone of us in this deep s***

Tell me about it,being pissed off just explain a moment of my anger..no one can imagine hw angry and on fire I am.i wanted to send a letter and email and ask to cancel my case and completely forget about 900£...my partner stopped me and calmed me down,otherwise I was about to leave home and go to post office...for F sk enough is enough ,we are not ur toys,we are not lower than others ,why u treating us like crap..this is not what u saying in media and everywhere about equality and democracy...noooooo not all ...just f it..I'm done with they're craps..I never call or ask them anything about it,Im not giving them the sweet satisfaction of being on power and on top,,,no F uuuuuu

They will only refund you ceremony fee (approx 90 £). I'd also request to wait.

I just called the helpline to complain again. I was told that my application had been processed on the 12th February and that their response was in the post.

I am hoping that it is a positive reply!

Hi, I didn't receive that letter althoug when I saw brown envelope I though that it was it
but thank God it was approval. I also didn't call them at all as I didn't want to get irritated by the usual answers.

I think that it is useless to call them, I try to do that with the passport department and it didn't work. That is why I didn't call them at all this time.
