Hi Everyone,
It is my turn to share my own good news
My (very straightforward!) application has been approved after completing 6 years Discretionary Leave

Timeline
Visa was expiring 11/11/2014
15/10/14 - SET (O) Application submitted
24/10/14 - Acknowledgement Letter received dated 20/10/14
10/11/14 - Home Office returned my application because a box wasn’t ticked on the payment page. Note: Application invalidated ONE DAY before visa expiry

14/11/14 - Re-applied using SET (O) form
25/11/14 - Employer sacks me from my managerial job i had done for over 5 years because Employer Checking service told them I had no right to work. Because the second application was submitted after visa expired even though it was their fault not to have returned the application on time
26/11/14 - 2nd Acknowledgement Letter received dated 20/11/14
08/12/14 - I made a formal complaint to Home Office complaints department
08/01/15 - Home Office complaints team responds that there is nothing they can do
08/01/15 - Biometrics Enrolled
21/01/15 - I asked Home Office Complaints Team to review my original compliant again as I was not satisfied with their first response
16/02/15 - Home Office complaint department responds to my e-mail stating that a senior caseworker has agreed to expedite my application
17/02/15 - Passport and approval letter received

Waiting for BRP Card

I want to encourage those who are still waiting to keep the faith and believe that your testimony will happen soon.

I have been offered another job and I’ll be starting soon.

Thank you all for this forum especially the tracker spreadsheet () which kept me sane and hopeful.

I would be grateful if someone can please update the tracker spreadsheet with my information as I do not want to mess with it.

Thank you,

Blessed2015

Dear friends please help me on this issue
I will complete my 10 years on 6 march 2015 and currently my passport is with Home Office on Tier 4 application. Since I do not have any other photo ID I cant sit for Life in the UK test. Therefore i have decided to apply for Long residence extension FLR (LR). Please let me know whether I would be ok to apply now (which is 28 days before 6 March) or I should wait till 6 March.

Thanks in advance

If your tier 4 application is not yet decided u can VARY your tier 4 application to FLR lr any time from now.

Just send them new flr lr form with full fees and photos and with a covering letter that u r eligible for long residency visa (10 years basis ) but as i dont have LIUK so i am applying FLR LR visa. kindly vary my tier 4 application to FLR LR application. Kindly refund my tier 4 application fees as well. as I am paying your full fees of FLR LR.

Hi Guys,

Now I am freaking a bit as my time has come. Hoping to receive my decision by mid next week. I applied on 08th Nov. However, I rung home office this morning and they said that my case has not been allocated to a team yet, which sounds a bit strange because couple of people applied after I did have already received their decisions and mine is non even considered yet....does it mean my case is complicated????? Does home office only get update on Monday, which means they cannot tell until next Monday if my case has been considered or completed ... hence so many approvals on every Tuesday and Wednesday??? Please comment

Possible reason your passport and documents is in the department where you sent your initial application... you may have to write a letter to HO requesting your documents will be send back to you as your application is completed

@Junaid : Many congrats for the approval. Plz tell me about ur pending appeal. Did you withdraw ur appeal before submitting new application ? There is a possibility u'll get ur documents with ur BRP. Otherwise u've to ring HO on 0300 1232241. Plz share ur valuable experience and outcome with the fellow members.
