Are you saying you want to live with your husband's parents in their council house? Or are they living elsewhere and you want to take over the tenancy?

Hello Casa,

We live with my mum in law in private rented house and the rent is paid by council every month but not the ful rent they exclude the money because me and my husband live in that house.

Can I apply for visa on this house showing that we are paying the rernt for living here?

Or we are thinking to rent a studio flat but some one told us that we can not even apply on Studio Flat, Home office approves only one bedroom flat, is it correct?

Looking forward to your reply.

Regards,
Aleena

http://www3.westminster.gov.uk/docstore ... xcerpt.pdf This is the UK Govt's definition of overcrowding. A studio flat would be sufficient for 2 persons, as long as it meets the minimum floor space requirements.

Do you have legal tenancy agreement from your in-laws?
Also would council allow for their tenants to offer further sub-tenancy?

Hello Amber,

No i do not have legal tenancy agreement from my in laws but council is already aware that we are living with them and they take £365/month out of £1100 they pay for rent because of me (working) living there.

Many thanks,
Aleena

Hi Amber,

Can you please advise on this? Also how would I get a legal tenancy agreement from Parents in law? Would it be through state agent?

We are just living as a family together and council deduct the from the monthly rent because of us living there.

Please let me know if you have any questions, i really need some help with this.

Kind Regards,
Aleena
