Change in Mothers name on my passport

Hello friends,

I am planning to call my mother to UK as a visitor. I have a very small issue to be resolved before I apply for her visa in India.
My mother's name in my passport is different to that in her passport. The difference is just an extra letter in my passport..eg; instead of Lata it is Latha in my passport
Please guide me in how can I correct this? would this be a major issue and could this result in her visa application getting rejected.

this should not have any impact as such - evidences in support of finance and ties with country of residence are far more important the issue you mentioned. so ensure all other supporting documents are correctly submitted.
