General Visit visa

Post by srinivasm18 » Fri Feb 20, 2015 4:31 pm

Hi,
I am currently staying in UK under Tier 2. I would like to bring my parents to UK under 'General Visit' for six months. Both of my parents account statement shows around 2000 GBP (not continuous) in addition to this I will produce my bank statement as sponsor. Including this my father will provide no objection letter to mother saying he will cover her expenses because she is housewife and along with this he will produce property valuation, payslips and no objection letter from employer. Please can anyone suggest these funds will be enough?

For accommodation, I am currently staying in property offered by company. Unfortunately I couldn't request company that my parents will stay in same house. But if I produce letter to UKBA saying I will sponsor my parents for food and accommodation, is this ok?

Please note my account statement shows funds an average 1500 GBP. But minimum amount in my account in last three months is around 360 GBP but its not constant. My annual salary is 25.5K. Please can anyone let me know if I had to produce more documents, your reply is kindly appreciated.

For all the documentation the link here gives all information you require.
https://www.gov.uk/family-visit-visa/overview

Is your father employed by any govt body, as you mentioned NOC from employer? How long the absence period noc states? Asking as if this is for only 1 month or 2 months then finance wise no issue.

Again I differ on the account balance, as long as you can show cash flow for your parents ties back home and it is satisfactory to show parents are sustaining sufficiently then it should be ok. Offcourse if they have PPF, deposits, LIC endowment etc then these all can be summed up to support. Also private travel insurance for parents should cover medical, etc if required.

Also rather than NOC from your father to your mother, it should be support/confirmation letter in regards to your mothers finances.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
Yes, my father from govt body, waiting for 6 months NOC from employer because he has enough paid leaves. But in visa application application form, UKBA requesting for this trip cost in detail for travel, accommodation, living expenses?

1. Is this cost will be linked to the account balance we shown? Because if we say trip cost is around 500 GBP, do we have to show 500 GBP minimum liquid cash in account for six months? We believe cost of the trip for my parents (personally) will be max 300 GBP because we sponsoring them for flight, accommodation and living expenses.
2. Other thing I will be sponsoring for my parents travel, accommodation and living expenses. So by considering this can we put as zero cost for travel, accommodation and living expenses in visa application form?
3. My parents not much familiarize to fill application form. Hence I am helping them to complete application form. This is what we are mentioning in application form, please can anyone provide feedback on this?

How much is subjective to every person, having said that stating a couple thousand pounds on them in their account will help their case

Yes you can fill application on their behalf (on visa4uk website see option - Apply for someone Else) and send them by courier/post upon paying and appointment booking along with your documents

Thanks for your reply, regarding second point (below), I am thinking to take private travel health insurance for my parents which will cover around 30,000 GBP. Can I provide this quote as part of application?
Anyway currently by combining both of my parents account, funds will show around 1500 GBP atleast.

offcourse it will provide assurance to certain extent, but remember its only quote and not a valid policy a such. Even if you mention of taking care by policy in your cover letter it may suffice.

1500gbp, if I were you should be ok in my case. But don't take my word for it, if you can add extra in the funds for the visa purposes please do so and mention in the application.

Hello,
Need advise please, I am processing to apply visit visa for my parents (mother and father) from India. For this I came to know I need to make two different applications for mother and father separately?
I am sending all supporting documents to them from UK. Unfortunately I cannot split my supporting documents into two for my mother and father application separately. I need bit advise on this please?

Both the applications will be supported by photocopies of the originals where required as originals will be only single items.

In summary there will be single set of all the documents for both your parents. The sponsorship undertaking will be two documents though. Your Letter of invitation/support can be single.

Hope this helps.
