Post by shylady » Sun Feb 22, 2015 10:36 pm

Hello

Just two small question:

Is it better to lodge my application through a solicitor or can I do it myself????
and how long are PEO waiting times??? :?

thanks

If you feel confident about the application, then by all means apply yourself as you can save the money spent on a solicitor. Most people on this forum tend to apply themselves. Ask any question on this forum you may be unsure of for your application. Do remember to use the search function on the top right corner as many of the common questions have already been asked before.

PEO is a same day application and you will get the decision the very same day assuming your application is a straight forward one.

Wow!!! :D :D

Thanks for that prompt response.

I am just going through my papers once again and seem to have hit a hitch. :(

MY CoS was assigned on 1/3/10 and application made thereafter and got the tier 2 Biometric card showing date of issue as 27/5/10
but valid till 1/3/13 (should it not be for three years initially??) I got it extended in 2013 and received extension till 1/3/2016.
I was calculating my qualifying period as end of 1/3/15 and that I could apply 28 days before which is now!!!!
could you shed any light on that. I promise to search for similar topics henceforth.

I believe the qualifying period starts from the issue date on the Biometric Card and not the CoS issue date.

You will be eligible to apply 28 days before 27/5/15.

Thanks for yr response. You are right. I too think it starts from date of issue. Just wondering why the stated the expiry date as 1/3/13 initially when I applied in 2010 and now after extension 1/3/16??
