ALL the information is on gov.uk - https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... n-pakistan

Cheaper option is not to apply for UK visa and stay in Pakistan.

Getting a settlement visa is not cheap. You must be prepared to pay for all the costs if you want to enter the UK.

Good luck.

I'd feel better submitting the vaf4a hand written form as well just in case lol
True one of the forms doesn't require a signature weird! Lol

I didn't go Islamabad, my husband did but I photocopied everything in the UK and kept a copy for myself, and sent a copy of all the documents along with the originals to be submitted.
I think they want photocopies as well, I'm sure most ppl on here sent photocopies as well, personally I think you should!?!?

And thank you! Good luck with ur application as well!

Hey. we had photocopied all the documents as well but oddly they didn't accept it. They only took the originals. But when my hubbys mate gave his application a month before us they took both original and photocopy. Strange...

Salaam December13 - you're in same boat as my friend who applied in November. Today her husband got a call! they asked few questions like when did u meet spouse? How do u communicate? When was nikkah?
Then they said we'll call when passport is ready for collection.

Anyone else been in this situation?

Salam alaikum all, My wifes visa was rejected in the middle of December, due to HMRC records not being updated through an issues of there RTI system. I put in an appeal as i was assured by 2-3 solicitors that if the system is updated and letters from HMRC prove this then it would be overturned by a ECM. How ever that has not happened even with HMRC providing letters that its not my fault that the system was not updating itself and confirmed my upto date income. I ask on what basis would an ECM still refuse the appeal? Also what is the best step to take now?

Salam.

Well in the initial refusal letter they said HMRC had no records of my employment in the financial year 2013-2014. HMRC gave two letters in which they stated ( due some technical issues between HMRC employers unit and my accounts, they cannot give exact details of how much i have been paid and how much tax has been paid by my employer and the second letter stating that my pay is upto date as of december 2014.

Shreen, the ECM reviewed it and decided to uphold the refusal, so now have to wait for a date for appeal. I am thinking why refuse even when HMRC have given letters confirming employment? Next step is to reapply.
