Travelling out of U.K. for a couple of months?

Post by RoyW » Fri Feb 27, 2015 11:29 pm

My wife has this question - " I have received my British Citizenship certificate a couple of months ago but haven`t yet got my passport. I need to go out of the UK for a few months to visit my parents in Ukraine, so is it ok to use my old Ukrainian passport and ILR card for the journey?
The ILR card is not expired, and also would i need to take the British Citizenship certificate with me as well?"

thank-you.

Bit of a difficult one.

First, on being granted citizenship ILR has gone, and second, Ukraine doesn't allow dual citizenship so the Ukraine passport is invalid too.

Suppose it all depends on how risk averse you are.....
