can I stay with my present employer?

Hi

I am working on a tier 2 which will expire in september 2015, meanswhile i applied for another job for which new employer has issued me a COS and i have not resined from my present job.

Now i have found out that i don't want to change my employer, also i have not applied for switching my visa yet.

so my questions are;

1. can i ask my new employer that i can't join due to any reasons
2. can i stay with my present employer even a new cos has been issued?
3. will my new employer would let me go?

You don't have to join your new employer.
As long as you have not applied and been granted for the new employer you can still stay with your current Sponsor.
Your current Sponsor will not know about the other COS unless you tell them or the new proposed Sponsor tells them just to make things awkward for you.

When you come to renew your visa there will not be an issue because you have had a COS issued along the way.

could you please advise, do i need to give any reason to my new employer for which i am not joining them or can i ask them to cancel the cos which they have issued without mentioning any reason?

It all comes down to politeness and good practise.
You can say as little as much as you want to the prospective employer. I would be inclined to at least tell them you are not going apply for a visa and that you would appreciate if they would withdraw the COS. That way you have been up front and clears the system. Even if they don't cancel the COS it will become automatically invalid before your next extension is required from your current employer.
