Hi , Can anyone please give me UKBA helpdesk number??

I am currently on Tier 2 General. I would like to understand whether my new employer needs to submit resident labour market test if they would like to hire me. The job roles are same with my current and potential emplyer.

So I need to enquire this with UKBA Tier 2 helpdesk - Please share with me the contact numbers of UKBA.

Even if the role is the same, your new employer will need to conduct RLMT unless the role is on the exempted list (e.g. shortage occupation). Btw, the immigration helpline no. is: 0300 123 2241

Dear moonlight55, thanks for your reply.

1. To complete RLMT process - my potential emplyer needs to submit any application form to Home Office?
2. What is the process to complete resident labour market test ? I know the job needs to be advertised 28 days etc etc.. but what is the form they need to fill?

Do you know any Home Office links which I could share with my potential employer?

Hi All,
My current visa status is Tier2 General -Partner , currently i am working an employee wit more than 3 years and he is willing to sponsor Tier2 General visa. As i understand i will come under Restricted category and need to apply visa from home country.

I have query does my employer still need to perform RLMT ? I am working with them from last 3 years. If i am undergoing RMT means they are recur ting me as a new hire right?

Yes, they will have to conduct RLMT to prove they cannot find a resident for this job before re-hiring you. Your working for 3 years is irrelevant in this case.

You will need a restricted CoS. You will have to apply for a Tier 2 entry clearance visa from your home country; you cannot switch into Tier 2 from within UK.

Hi ,

Thanks for sharing your experiences .

I am a tier 2 depended, working in a uk company from last 4 years . They are happy to process my visa using restricted cos .

First they applied with out RLMT process and COS got rejected with reason no RLMT information .

Now in order to process RLMT now they advertised in 3 websites which included MNC company website .

IN JOB center plus user can't see salary and closing date but when user try to apply it will direct to another job portal where user can view Salary range .

Can you please answer below :
1. Does it has any problem posting adv in job center without Salary and closing date ?
2. When UKBA will view the job advertisement before issuing cos or after ?
3. If UKBA identified salary is not mentioned in website does the Sponcer rating will be downgraded or is there Any problem for employer .

My employer is new to issue restricted cos hence I am asking .

Hi there,

I am in a similar scenario - the HR is not entirely sure of the process. They have advertised the job without closing date and salary range.

I think you need to speak to your HR and make sure the job advert meets all the rules mentioned in Sponsor guidance (Section 28):
