ILR - Does my spouse need to pass Life in the UK test too?

Hi

I am due to apply for ILR very soon and I am booked for Life in the UK test. My wife is on dependent visa. Does she need to pass this test as well when I apply for ILR? I can see that SET (O) form has fields asking for if your partner has passed Life in the UK test or not.

If she can't get it done in the time, would it cause any issue for me?

If she's also applying for ILR, then yes Life in the UK is mandatory. You both also need a pass in B1 level English unless you are from an exempt country or have a degree taught in English.

meet a revised knowledge of language and life in the UK requirement.'

As I mentioned she has dependent visa and she has only been here for a year. I have a degree from a UK university.

if she doesn't pass the test in time, how does it impact my (main applicant) application??

so going by the it seems to be making me disqualified too? What are my options now? Any advice will be highly appreciated. Is there any way I could get extension on the dependent and she applies for ILR later on after passing the Life in UK test??

If she doesn't qualify to apply for ILR with your application she won't need to have passed the test.
