As far as I am aware, there has not been any mention about HO increasing the financial requirement.

I heard this from a friend whos uncle is a immigration lawyer, i don't have a source, It's something to do with the elections in 2015, how long do reforms take before they can be put in place

if you want to bring non EU children with your spouse tosettle in uk then its more than £18600.it can go up to about £27000 i think.

there are changes to visitor visas from 24th april 2015.

And of course the cost of each visa will go up as it does every year.
