Settlement Visa travelling Date

Post by field_test12 » Wed Mar 11, 2015 10:08 am

Hi Guys,

I have received the visa for family on 11 March 2015 for 27 months, I understand 3 months is the max time for us travel to UK

If we travel after 2 months let say around 10 May 2015, Will that affect for ILR.

No.

Are you sure it is 27 months? What visa is it, Spouse visa?

What are the start and end dates and when did you apply for the visa?

Hi CRM001
Sorry its my mistake, The actual dates are

valid from 09/03/2015 to 09/12/2017

So its 33 months

Its a spouse visa with 3 kids (under 5 years)

So for ILR I understand we need to be in Uk for 5 years (which is 60 months)

So when do the time starts - Is it the date visa got it or the date enter in to the UK?

the date enter in to the UK?
That is when your qualifying residence starts. The visa is issued with an extra 3 months to allow spouse and families to move to the UK without impacting on the 60 months criteria.

Hello Every One,
Could you please help.
Filled up online application for settlement visa for my wife and 7 yrs daughter. My wife travelled to UK earlier once. Now i have British citizenship.
While booking slots, home office website is showing options like FAST TRACK.
my question is -
1) Can we choose FAST TRACK for settlement visas?
2) How to pay money for FAST TRACK separately, as home office website is showing following msg.
Important information: there is an additional fee associated with this appointment type. You must pay this fee before you attend the Visa Application Centre on the VFS website at www.vfsglobal.co.uk/global. Failure to do so will invalidate your appointment.

I am applying from Banglore for Chennai BHC

Please advise immediately..
Thank you.
Manish
