blueberry1986 wrote:Really annoyed with Santander as this card has NO balance on it and thousands of ££ available. I contacted Santander the day I sent the second payment form and they said no contact was necessary and if there was a large charge attempted they would hold it and ring me to verify. They did not ring once nor did they tell me it was attempted the first time which was well over a week before I rang them to verify this. They have all my contact details and I have no missed phone calls from them or any unknown/private numbers.

Hopefully my application will move along
Did you read my post completely? No where did I say that this was a new card with no transactions ever made. Its a card my partner and I use regularly and pay completely each month, at this moment it has no balance on it.
I DID contact Santander to warn them of £906 payment in the next few days, they told me it was unnecessary to contact them and if they suspected a fraudulent transaction THEY would ring me.
And where exactly did I presume you have had no transaction on this card or it was a new card?

I was merely pointing out, that your account may have not had similar transactions coming in (amounting to almost £1000 or more), or even if it did, I suspect hardly any of those to be in cardholder not present scenario! Previous history of any such transaction - by that I meant such high value transactions in cardholder not present scenario!

What Santander told you is not right - any such heads up is always good for this kind [cardholder not present] of transactions and they should have marked it down on the system.

Of course, you can choose to believe/trust your bank over me, its entirely upto you. I have just highlighted how, Payment Processing companies view this type of transactions, thats all. All the best with your application!
Sorry I obviously mis interpretated your post and I apologise, sometimes you read the tone wrong over the Internet.
I was trying to point out that there was absolutely no reason for it to be declined the second time as I had warned the bank it was going to happen. I charge thousands to this account every month for years, and yes things over £900 such as holidays and furniture etc.

Anyways im hoping in the next few weeks I will get an approval although I can see from these forms that it sometimes takes months.
you can pay over phone. i also face like this problem then paid over phone. they took money within 24 hours. Just call ukkb naturalization customer service.

If you have inclosed a prepaid recorded involope when you sent your application to home office, of course they will send your documents with the decision through recorded mail.

All fast approvals so far are ILR + 1 year. I guess most of the checks are done when the ILR is issued?
EEA national here with Residence Card +1.5 years, applied on Feb 9th - no news yet.

Fellows,

I just want to give glory and honour to God Almighty for His grace and Favour. I received my approval this morning against all odds. Please read my story following this link -

http://www.immigrationboards.com/britis ... l#p1111888

Even the NCS said "it is unlikely for the application to be successful" but God did it

Eligibility criteria: ILR + 5 Years Residency
Language criteria met (MSc and life in UK test)
Method of application: NCS
Council name if NCS used: NCS
Date of application: 09/02/2015
Payment method CC/DC: Debit Card
Date of receipt by UKBA: 11/02/2015
Date of acknowledgment: Received 20/02/2015 (dated 17/02/2015)
Date of debit or clearance of fees:16/02/2015
Date approval received: (14/02/15) Dated 03/03/15
Date of ceremony:waiting :

MY STORY TO ENCOURAGE SOMEONE.

Hi All,

Just a quick question/clarification.

i had a driving ban in 2009 due to totting up. (3 point for speeding + 3 point for speeding + 6 point for driving without insurance) = 6 month driving ban + (TT99) in 2009. I had another driving ban in 2011 due to totting up again. (6 point for driving without insurance. although I had a comprehensive insurance in my name but due to the friend's car not insured + 3 point for speeding + 3 point for speeding) = 6 month ban + fine + TT99 on licence in 2011. I was also stopped and fine by police in 2009 for driving without road tax which i paid instantly. I have been clean like whistle since 2012 with not even a parking ticket since.

I am now due to apply for naturalization and just wondering if I need to declare the speeding points/offences that were not giving in court as they were fines/point given by the police which I paid on time and its only one TT99 showing on my licence now cos all the rest had dropped off. Do I stand a chance?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah maybe that's it but it still doesn't make a huge amount of sense because ILR is only decided in 30-45 minutes. Overall I don't think it makes sense as any checks they need to do should theoretically be able to be done in an hour. If anyone knows what goes on under the hood I'd be interested to know!
