I tried from the ukvi website but I just got a generic reply that it's waiting to be assessed by the ECO.

Thank you
How about you read previous 2-3 pages of this forum? I posted about how to escalate ur case.

Hi Roger
Thanks for posting the details about how to escalate visa process. Can you also post an email address where to send it to. Thanks

Hi all,

I dont think this should matter that much but I thought to ask what you guys did. When taking photocopy of the documents, did you do colour or black and white? I've photocopies colour but when I am looking at it its very difficult to tell photocopy from original especially like payslips, bank statements and other document that dont have signatures. Have you guys had similar problems? Are photocopies only for gerry's or for birtish high commission too?

Appreciate sharing your experience.

hi ab112 all documents need to be originals. If gerrys do require copies they will make it themselves. Thats my understanding. Maybe someone else could comment too.

I think the photocopies are for the bhc. Gerry's is just a courier service. I remember when I submitted my documents on the 2nd march in khi the gerry's officer who was serving me told me photocopies are not necessary anymore. The bhc make photocopies of the docs they need to keep in their record themselves. But its completely your choice if you want to send photocopies. I chose not to send them. My photocopies were black and white its generally easier to differ them from the originals.

My bhabie did the test on 7 feb and was told results will come in a month, today she received the online results that she has passed the test and now they saying it will take another 10 days for the certficates to come. I hope she receives them ASAP coz we are ready to apply.
How do u receive online results ? Do we check on a website or do they email them? My husband wasn't given any reference no. Or wasn't told anything like this .. thanks you
we dont see the results online only the people of the institue where the test was taken at, they get the results online and one of them rang my brother with the results.

sean2606 wrote:Hello All,

Just a quick question, I have read on some persons timelines the status of 'Initial preassessment and online verification conducted' is this received through a status request or does BHC send an email automatically?
Hey sean, the only emails you ill get from BHC are the documents received email and at the end when your visa is processed and inshallah granted they will send you one email saying your visa has been processed.
you can get all these other updates by emailimg them through their website by providing gwf number date of birth etc of applicant, hope this helps.
EDIT: this is why salma123aslam got rejected
wage amount does not match bank payment. Wage was £302.25 got paid £302.7
Thanks for the reply roger354. Blimey for that much of a difference they rejected a visa. I am stressed now, as I am the same boat, our company pays by Standing Order which is a fixed amount and the accounting software can occasionally calculate a different net amount depending on the tax paid for that week by about +/- 20p :( :( :(
Dont worry every application is different, just pray and with the will of Allah swt yu will get the visa.
May Allah swt make it easy for us all

Hey that's so true , my call history was printed in colour and to save time I printed it twice lol and I did think that this looks the same what if they look at the photocopies and get confused lol but as ppl keep saying photocopies are not needed or are only kept at Gerry's/ Bhc. It shouldn't matter and theres no point in wasting your colour ink :)
