You need to submit it if you have used it as ID when taking the Life in the UK test.jaweb wrote:Guys,
Why did you submit the licence?

Did you read the form before you applied?rakeysh.patel wrote:zonkkk wrote:You need to submit it if you have used it as ID when taking the Life in the UK test.jaweb wrote:Guys,

Never heard that before!
It shows it on the form.rakeysh.patel wrote:zonkkk wrote:You need to submit it if you have used it as ID when taking the Life in the UK test.jaweb wrote:Guys,

I believe what everyone is referring to here is what's mentioned on page 13 of the AN Guide. It makes a reference to the photo licence, if used as an ID for the LITUK test. I doubt however that not providing that alone would become a major issue... if absolutely required they will request it.rakeysh.patel wrote:Where?
If you have any points on your licence than they (NCS) will ask to provide counterpart.britishenglish wrote:If may ask why u included license counter part?
That's clearer, true there is no mention of a licence counterpart in the guidance, so what you say makes sense, it's to do with the Good Character aspect of the application.wmazhar wrote:If you have any points on your licence than they (NCS) will ask to provide counterpart.britishenglish wrote:If may ask why u included license counter part?
Please note it is "licence counter part" not the licence (photo id), for ID I provided bio-metric card.
From what I've seen on the timeline and discussion threads, most people don't receive emails, they receive acknowledgement letter a week or so after payment is deducted instead.roc_wab wrote:Guys,
I got an alert from my bank that the money was deducted on 08-Mar (Sunday?) and the bank balance dropped on 09-Mar. I still haven't received any acknowledgement via email or post and I understand I shouldn't be worried but still.. you know.. how it feels!
Can anyone help me with the subject of the email I should look out for please? I am checking my spam folder regularly too..
Good luck everyone! Let's journey together!

Tulip11,
Good news, home office took my money today. This is one time I am happy to see a bill paid
I second this - It is only required for those who have driving convictions (FPNs) - Even those who have points on the license but conviction is spent [myself], you do not need to send this. I had 3 points from back in Dec 2008 [silly mistake!] and I carried counterpart with me since it still shows in there , to NCS - lady [who claimed to be doing it for years and almost with her eyes closed ], said it is spent, you do not need to send it - She went on to quote "DO NOT MAKE CASE WORKER'S WORK MORE COMPLICATED BY SENDING DOCS THAT DONT REQUIRE!"cs95tdg wrote:That's clearer, true there is no mention of a licence counterpart in the guidance, so what you say makes sense, it's to do with the Good Character aspect of the application.wmazhar wrote:If you have any points on your licence than they (NCS) will ask to provide counterpart.britishenglish wrote:If may ask why u included license counter part?

Seems machines are running quick these days! I truly feel for those who have been waiting for months and years in some case.Amz15 wrote:Eligibility criteria: 5 Years TIER 1 + 1 year ILR (2 applications 1 for me and 1 for spouse)
