EU1 Application - copy of EU passport

Just wondering whether a copy of EU passport is sufficient for the application.

I don't have any other form of ID which is why I'm not keen to post it.

Yes as far as I know they need to see the original passport or ID card.

Unless you country issues national ID cards, you will have to be without travel documents for a few weeks.

I'm British so no ID card.

The form explicitly says "Original Passport or National Identity Card of EU citizen" so sending a copy would most likely end up in them not processing your application until you send the original or in a refusal.
