visa application timeframes

Post by twista » Sat Mar 14, 2015 6:48 pm

Hi all

I'm a bit confused about timeframes for the de facto/spousal visa. I understand they are taking about 6 months (from Dublin). On the Irish Embassy, Delhi website it say "15-20 working days".

Do you know if I am reading this correctly? Surely there can't be such a vast difference in timeframes for the same type of visa applications

The timelines on the embassy website definitely seem very optimistic compared to what people have reported here (6 months is indeed closer to the truth).

They do mention that they are valid form February 2015 though, maybe there is a new process I am not aware of.
