Yasir 143 you should confirm with a solicitor if u can apply with money in your current account, i applied with cash savings and the money was held in a savings account for more than 6 months(6 month is the minimum)
To answer your question about savings, as you can use savings to help meet the financial requirement you need to show the previous 6 months worth of bank statements (origianls, or certified copies stamped by your local branch) or photocopies of your cash savings book (again certified by your bank or building society). What the UK Visas and Immigration want to see is that the cash has been held in the account for at least the last 6 months, that you are the sole account holder and that its not a shared account with anyone else. Also if you have put a large amount of money into the account randomly, i.e your family member gave you the money as a gift to help support you you will need to mention and explain this in your applicaton as if you don't explain it the home office will view it as being out of the ordinary and would definitely query you about it. So in other words if in the last few months your mum or anyone else has given you a lump sum, just get them to sign a typed out letter confirming this and explain on the application that this is the reason for the large deposit. The savings account can be a joint account withe the applicant/sponsor no one Else.

Hey Everyone,

I am bit confused here regarding submitting photocopies of all original documents, I am sending my documents for my wife's spouse visa application, it does not note anywhere that I need to submit copies to Gerry's but I have been told and read a few people on here that Gerry's needs photocopies of all documentation that you are submitting to the UKBA. To me this a bit of a security risk as these documents can be used for all kinds of things. Can you guys please confirm if its a must to submit photocopies of all documents to Gerry's?

Kind regards,

Mo.

I have also applied under cat D I have submitted the following regarding financials

- Gift deed from my brother mentioning money has been gifted to me forever bank transaction details and bank statement for the last 6 months period.
- Sale of property papers includes pay order copies bank transaction details bank statements for last 7 months period.
Are these documents OK.

Will they confirm it from bank or sponsor.

My second question is regarding accomadation I have provided inspection report of the property and rental agreement I want to know will they confirm it with the landlord so I will guide him before they confirm.

Please reply.
Yaseen Ahmed on the declaration that your brother provided make sure you state where he works etc get it signed from him and verified by a solicitor plus show his bank statement showing the money leaving his account and goimg into your account.
They might check with the local council and your landlord so its better to give your landlord a heads up

I submitted my documents on 2nd March 2015 at the Khi VAC. Its only new that Gerry's officers suggest you may or may not submit photocopies. I chose not to submit them. Same reason as yours. Before it was compulsory to submit photocopies along with the originals. Not anymore.

Goodluck.

I guess it depends on the local Gerry office...some may take longer responding...ive heard of cases where they are held at the office weeks before they contact the applicant.....does anyone have the number for Gerry in mirpur?

hello can some one please advise me i asked for a update today i applied 16th jan and this is the response i recieved:

We understand that you would like to know about the current status of your
visa application. I have tracked the status (xxxxxxxxxx and date of birth
xxxxxx) and found that the application has been referred to another
authority for enquiries or a final decision. Your visa application centre
or the entry clearance officer (ECO) will contact you once a decision has
been made or, if necessary, during the consideration of your application.

why has it been referred to another authority is this something to worry about everything was up to date and genuine???? this reply has really got me tensed :( has anyone else received this email if so what was the outcome???
