@110 yes, second time for same offence. Always worked and never committed a crime, never even had a parking ticket. My offence, technical assault( for just snatching a phone from someone and the person reported to Garda alleging that he felt threatened by that) In the country for 13 yrs with Irish association.

Hi all,

Letter of approval received on 25th of Feb 2015, I am away at the moment and was wondering if I make all the arrangements to send passport photo, GNIB + 950, would immigration officer allow me to enter the country with a garda certified copy of my GNIB + of course the stamp on my passport? Also if I get the invitation for the 10th of April to attend the ceremony can I postpone for the next ceremony as I won't be in the country yet(are there extra fees to pay etc. as it does mention in the letter to avoid extra fees please make arrangement as soon as possible)

Could anyone please adv asap?

Thanks.

hello guys new and old once anybody receive this answer before , what is that mean ? and is it soon to be approved "
Hi

Your application is currently being processed with a view to establishing
whether it meets the statutory conditions for the granting of
naturalisation, such as good character and lawful residence, and will be
submitted to the Minister for decision as expeditiously as possible.

It is recognised that all applicants for citizenship would wish to have a
decision on their application without delay. As well as being a
significant event in the life of the recipient, the granting of Irish
citizenship through naturalisation as provided for in law is also a major
step for the State which confers certain rights and entitlements not only
within the State but also at European Union level and it is important that
appropriate procedures are in place to preserve the integrity of the
process.

@Irishlove, were you taken to the court for that offence by garda and were you fined or someone just reported you to garda and a conviction was put straight in your name.

@singh07

I just had 3 points from garda last year holding mobile phone while driving ( funny but I always use earphones, just left it home that day and of course garda stopped me :? )
But nothing else at all. I had the letter from garda and put it in the application too.
From social I had maternity benefit but they said that's not connected.
And got jobseeker benefit for couple of months when I had my first pregnancy, so they put me part time at work. But that was 4 and a half year ago and I still had a job during that.

So hopefully will be ok 8) :) :D

Pls can anyone advise how Inis often send out approval letters. Do they stop sending approval letters 2 weeks before citizenship ceremony or they start sending out approval 2 weeks after ceremony.
