I think to be able to qualify using the child, you would have to wait until such time when the child is 21 years so that you would be sponsored by the 'adult child' then. Anything else you would have to argue with G W Bush on Human Rights grounds which, I doubt you would succeed.dagame wrote:both tha parents were on J1 and J2 working visa,

they stayed in US for around 7 years.
on J1 and J2 respectively

They have to wait until the child is 21, then (if the rules haven't changed) the child can petition for them to get an immigrant visa as immediate relatives. The process currently takes 6 months to a year.dagame wrote:if a child is born in US, how long will it take for the parents to be classified as US citizen? , will they get a green card? what will be there status.
Even if they are in the US legally, having a child there makes no difference to their immigration status (until the child turns 21).yankeegirl wrote:It depends entirely on if the parents are legally in the US. If they have no legal status in the US, having a child there does not automatically allow them to stay.
