I AM SO HAPPY. My husband received a call today for submission of pasport and new TB test certificate. They told him him that they will send a call letter on mail and also they will post it so that my hus can take a copy of the letter to submit passport. I have a question here. Can someone answer me pls. Does he hav to wait for the letter thru post? Or can he just print a copy of the mail he recived today.?

Thanks in advance
Congrats Mrs K! It's been a bit of a wait hasn't it? My wife is still waiting for her call letter.

It might be worth contacting gerrys to see if its ok to print the email and turn up. Doesn't seem like something that should be a problem but then again one shouldn't assume.
Hi Ahmed
Thank you, yes it is VERY LONG wait. Dont worry.. you will hear from them soon. Its good to Wait 1 or 2 weeks and then mail them if you dont receive it.

Yh thanks i will do

How long do they normally take?
I wish i knew!! I went through this forum and found one person who got the call about 9 days after receiving the same update.
This wait is agnoizing! Did you apply from karachi too?

What a stupid question is that?
You seem to have a question for everything. since yu have joined the forum pretty much every page has posts from you. It is acceptable to raise a question every now and again but repeating after every post is not deemed acceptable. Your fascination with list of documents, reason of refusal and blah blah may cause this forum to be closed in the very near future just like the last forum that was closed for the very same reasons as i have mentioned.

Before you had numerous queries regarding your application and documents, and now you have lots of queries regarding tracking/update/escalation. Let me remind you it was you that said "i will never ask for an update on my application". Whatever the reason is please stick to your words.

This forum is for helping and has helped a lot of people in the past, you and me being only the two. This is a humble request to all the users, please keep your posts to minimum and precise to the point, don't copy and paste emails and then ask the question what does it mean? Come on guys it means what it says in the email, further checks are being carried out. If you are unsure visit previous pages before raising a question 99.999 percent sure you are not the first person to have asked that question.

If you all put a signature in your profile stating when, where, what category applied under, this will save us from at least another 100 stupid posts from gucci9.
May Allah swt make it easy for us all

Hey,

Print off the call letter and take it along passport and new tb certificate to submit it for it to be stamped with visa. What you will get in the post will be exactly the same as what has come through via email.

think this how you escalate: Using the same status request form on ukvi website...

Type of escalation: settlement
Date of birth
gwf number
Location of vaf
Date of biometrics
Full name
type of visa:settlement
Passport number
nationality
Country of application
brief reason of escalation

@daddoo

Escalating your case is something which is done when you inquire about your application, you can either do that by calling them or emailing them. Escalation is done by the adviser you talk to/ the one who responds to your email. you do not have a option to escalate or not so to speak.

If you escelate via email, then you have to put in some information which is as follows:
Type of escalation: settlement
Date of birth
gwf number
Location of vaf
Date of biometrics
Full name
type of visa:settlement
Passport number
nationality
Country of application
brief reason of escalation
Application and biometrics submitted - 27August 2014
