Help !!! Employment information

They have asked for employment information on the section on good character. I am currently unemployed as my contract ended while on maternity leave and I am currently applying for jobs. How do I fill this section. Can I apply for citizenship only if I am employed?

thanks , does this hold true even if my husband is not applying for british citizenship. What do I give has tax reference number. Has anyone applied as house wife before?

Employment is not the requirement they ask for reference number for those who are employed and they check if tax is paid or not . If your not working then no tax issue so that's not a problem . I myself applied on my own (5 year) basis and I didn't have any paper work or job letters of my hubby . So don't worry u will be fine . But if u are applying as British spouse then u only need few hubby things like passport copy . Marriage certificate etc but even then u don't need any job related letters . Hope this helps
