Applied 21-02-2014 (yes thats 21st Feb 2014)
1st acknowledgment 28th Feb 2014
Letter asking for more information (that was already sent with original application)
around 10th of April 2014
2nd Ack after I sent the documents 2nd week of April

Letter asking for copy of renewed GNIB - early jusly
letter confirming receipt of copy of GNIB 2nd week of july..

Advanced stage from 31st of July 2014
Intent to Approve 23rd March 2015 (letter dated 20th March 2015)

Any idea why it took so long for your application?

Not sure...There could be absolutely no reason at all...but follwing could be the reasons..

I initially came here back in 2008/9 for 6 months then went back for couple of years..then came back again in 2011..when I applied in 2014 I just met the required crieteria...Other possible reason , my spouse was not working for some time in 2014 and was claiming job seekers allowance...

Again there is no confirmation..there has been many cases that ook so long with out any reason...

2d letter stating the application going to Minister's approval 26, Jan, 2015
3rd letter/ approval letter 26, Feb, 2015
Invitation received 13, March,2015
As a whole the whole process has been very stress free , smooth and fast.
I applied on the basis of Marriage( Civil Partnership, we are same sex couple, my partner is Irish, myself - Non EU) any Qs guys I'm willing to answer. Good luck

Hi, Thanks for sharing. When did you send your documents in (€950 & GNIB)? I got my approval on Feb 26th as well, and sent documents on March 11th by express. Just hoping I will make the April 10th ceremony.

Never been on social since i am here from more than 10 years always in employment, no traffic conviction .

I i sent my 950 euro and the rest on Saturday the 28th of February February.

I received my acknowledgement letter today

Type of application :5 yrs residency EU member+spouse of soon to become Irish(on the next Ceremony,10th of April)
APPLICATION SENT: 5th of March 2015
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT LETTER:received 24th of March,dated 23rd of March

@Dar81, you are not the only one, I applied in June 2014 and still waiting. Although my application was put on hold in February by the citizenship registry team awaiting the decision of my retention of rights application but the processing is back on as I have sent them the decision letter last week and the person I spoke with on the phone confirmed the processing is back on, hopefully we shall all hear good news soon.

Do u have any traffic offence? I had minor one on the bicycle.

@Dar81, no I don't have any traffic offence nor fines or conviction, just fortunate otherwise the exceptional renewal of my stamp 4 wouldn't have been possible as I was told it was based on the fact that I'm working and of a good character in the state in the past 5 years but by God's grace all is well with our applications, it's a matter of time but it will surely happen at some stage for us all. " The expectations of the righteous shall not be cut off" so believe!!!!!
