Salam Everyone

I need help in which category should i apply ? Category A or B

Background

I work in security company as an officer since 2012, full time (over three years ). My Contractual hours are 42 but i work as per schedule of 7 days on and three days off then 7 days on which makes 56 hrs a week. I get paid on hourly rate. I have earned in
2013 - 2014.... £ 21,000
2014- 2015.....£ 22,200

I will have 6 months pay slips and bank statements and P60s as well

Questions

1)Which category should i apply Category A or B ?

2)There is a question in Apendix about annual income ? What should i put , the recent 2014- 2015 figure ( P60 ) or anything else ?

3) Do they calculate gross salary or salary after tax ?

4 )If gross salary then in last 12 months i have earned over £ 1700. Is it ok ?

Kindly respond to my questions

Will be thankful

Aslaam walaikum evryone

So i received this email last week :

Your UK visa application is currently under consideration at the British High Commission in Islamabad.
Unfortunately, the processing of your application has been delayed while we undertake further checks. This means that we will be unable to make a decision within our published customer service standards.

My question is how long can this take and isit abit early for me to ask for a update or to escalate my case

Hope someone can help

Nervously waiting a reply
Feels like the people that they not going to give the visa to they hold onto their case, and who they are giving the visa to, are hearing back in 2/3 weeks
Hi Enzo111

I applied in Feb online 13 bio 23 received at ISB 25. The person who checked our paper before submission did say we would be likely to hear within 20 days as they are making decisions fairly quick. People on here who have applied same time as me have had a response. But I think with my case they maybe more things they need to check. I am worried but like they said can take up to twelve weeks. I think I'm coming round to that id rather them take the full time to get a positive decision then come back with a negative one fairly quick

I hope you get a response soon inshAllah good luck!!

1) If you don't know it then you must work out the difference between category A and B.
2) I would put the recent salary, obviously not until you have the P60 for 2014-2015.
3) You must know BHC only uses gross salary.
4) Assuming you have earned £1700 a month what have you earned in 12 months? your P60 should tell you.

Hope that helps.
May Allah swt make it easy for us all

Salaam -
I recommend all those who are on the verge of applying to try to ensure you make the payment online before 6th of April, otherwise you will have to pay the £500 extra NHS charge.

Also, I believe all those who have made payment on or after 18th March 2015 will only have 30 days from the date of visa to come to the UK because of the new BRP card changes.

I know :( I don't understand.. Are they taking long because I applied from Karachi? It's so weird. Almost 2 weeks since I got the update that it's been processed. Today I sent someone to check and they can't find any info which I find a little disconcerting. Tmw I will go myself.
Thank you for your well wishes!

Hi guys,

This is a question to all those that have gotten their visas. When you receive the email from Gerrys and BHC is there a number which they give u, apart from the GWF that starts with 4?

Thanks!

Salam all,

got the e-mail today. Still no call or text from Gerrys. Really hoping we do get this call tomorrow.

Timeline was:
Applied: Jan 9th
More information requested: March 10
E-mail received on decision; March 24

Inshallah tomorrow will be good news and lots of stress gone.

When we started I thought we would get Visa by April 10-15, but its been done quicker.

Congratulations to everyone who got their visas :) looks like mirpur is on a roll.
People who are getting processed email and call the next day are mostly getting their visas, as for people who get the call for collection after 10-15 days after the processed email are being rejected :( (Just my observation)
