Can you clarify?5am1224 wrote:Would a non British non EU mother register a baby in the UK without the British father permission!!! currently the child is registered under the father name abroad, the mother is in the process of claiming a child support from the father abroad vi the court and wants to register the baby in the UK so she can get a 2nd child support from the father in the UK as well.
Also the solicitor in the UK is telling the mother that all the money she will be spending on the case he will be claiming it back from the father as a court and a solicitor fees once he wins the case.... is this true!!!
Your response will be much appreciated.
Does mother hold an ILR visa? Go through this link please. Because if mother has ILR and child born in UK, then child's British Citizenship is easier.5am1224 wrote:Would a non British non EU mother register a baby in the UK without the British father permission!!!
Yes solicitor can claim all legal fees back from father. That's possible, if mother wins the case.5am1224 wrote: Also the solicitor in the UK is telling the mother that all the money she will be spending on the case he will be claiming it back from the father as a court and a solicitor fees once he wins the case.... is this true!!!

What is mother's current visa status?secret.simon wrote:Is the father British by birth or naturalisation or is he British by descent?
Your para does not answer any of questions posted here.5am1224 wrote:Hi guys,
The father have just told me that his marriage to his wife was not officially registered in abroad until the baby was 5 moth old, but according to the law of that country they had to backdate the marriage 9 moth before the baby was born otherwise it's kind of a big massive shame. the marriage certificate is actually showing that the official marriage was after the baby was born but again it states that both of the parents were married but not officially. would that makes any difference to the registration of the baby in the UK as the father wasn't officially married to the mother when the baby was born or being married to the mother or not at baby's birth will make no difference!!!
