Hi all,

I have recently applied for ILR on the 10 year long residence route and below is my timeline and detail for the tracker:

Applied: 20-02-2015
Acknowledgement Received: 03-03-2015
Biometric Invitation Received: 13-03-2015
Biometric completed: 16-03-2015
Decision + Documents: waiting
BRP: Waiting

My case, in my opinion was quite straight forward:
4 years as student + 2 years PSW + 1 year PSW Dependant + 4 years Tier 1 General Dependant (Total = Almost 11 years)

Thanks

What they have in there is the minimum pass mark. If B1 is better than A1(which is their pass mark) what is there to worry about

Visa Valid From: 05/12/2005 [Visa Student]
UK Entry: 22/12/2005

Absent from UK due to holiday 19/01/2008 - 03/03/2008

Current Visa expires: 30/10/2015

No overstays so far, My first visa was Student visa, 2nd Visa was Student visa, 3rd Visa PSW, currently Tier-4 student visa.
I have my wife as my dependant living here since 2008. My only son born here last year.

Q-1) Can I apply for ILR upon my visa expiry as it's not exactly 10 years ?
Q-2) If not, what do you suggest me to do ?
Q-3) If yes, what form should I fill up for my wife & son ?

Thanks a lot in advance for your helpful replies.
Don't apply for ILR now, is even taking around 8weeks now,
To buy the two month apply using FLR(FP) including your wife as dependent, if your son was born in UK and his under 18 you might want to remove him now to save money, on that form you will be applying based on your private life.
To make sure you push it to December you will have to leave your biometric till last minute.
Then you can defer to ILR and use FLR M for your mrs, telling them to hold her application until a decision has been met for yours.

It may take up to six months to make a decision on your case. If we are unable to process your application within six months we will tell you as soon as possible.

Can someone please tell me whether the mention of 6 months is standard or specific to cases? In my view it should simple,
arrived in 2015, always applied for renewal on time. 6yr student+2yr PSW+2.3 years student at Level 8.

No CCJ/police warning.

I noticed it says it is an automated email. I am curious to know if the automation is part of a generic assessment of the case.

Perhaps I am getting paranoid seeing some people from February application got response (I know it could be sheer random luck).

Since your son was born here you will register him using form MN1 after you receive your ILR

when you make the ILR you will draft a letter telling home office about the application you have pending and you want to defer it to the ILR and tell them to return the money for FLR FP. Note pls pay for the ILR and FLR M in full and expect them to return the other money. Also remember to make copies of all the entry and exist on your passport as you will need them to fill the form.

In regards to your Mrs with the letter telling them to hold her application, yes that is what they will do, some people on the forum said they received the application before even telling HO to start, but the best advice is to tell them to treat it once you receive your ILR. Check the requirement for your wife to make sure you are ready.

Sar and Rejected application

Post by gbe » Fri Mar 27, 2015 12:02 pm

Pls advise.
I have renewed my visa for some time before I got marry to an African wife.
When we applied for extension of visa, the application was rejected for fee reason.
This make me and wife agreed to do our application separately as single.
When I sent for Sar, the rejected application was also part of information they hold, and that my wife
Is dependant on application.
I have been renewing my visa as been single since the invalid application up till now.
The question is, what can I do now?
Will that impact my ILR?

Hi green92,

Don't worry, that's the standard email/letter sent to everyone. I got the same letter but my application took 7 weeks. I applied Feb 2nd and decision was made March 20th. You will get your approval soon if your case is straight forward.

All the best
