Surender Singh route

Post by Prince_irl » Sat Mar 28, 2015 5:26 am

Hi alls

I sent EU1 for my family. And hope fully will get my letter in 4-6 weeks. I am British national here in Ireland for last 4 month but started job in march. Now thinking to go back to uk with my family by using surinder Singh route.

Now my 1st question is

Can I just go to UK ( without getting visa for my family ) or is it better to Apply for visa in British high commission in Dublin...???

The main problem is Airline not allow you to board without visa. Can go by bus but applying for Code A1 stamp on the Holyhead with family at 1 am in morning you know most of the time the immigration officer don't know rules and chance might send us back.

I was thinking to go to Belfast and the go to London by easyjet.

But can any body tell me the difference between applying from UK for EEA permit and applying for EEA permit from British high commission Dublin ????

Now thinking of going back to the UK? After 4 months and working just about a month? Are you having a laugh? What's worth doing is worth doing well. Better work long enough to avoid any long and expensive court fracas, continue your job till at least when your other half gets their residence card, not that you may not succeed if you return now, but that decision will likely be made for the HO by tribunal, and if you don't have good representation, your case will likely fail.

EEA family permit = Entry clearance

You cant apply for entry clearance when you have already gained entry. What you will be applying for when you return to the UK is Residence documentation. In other words, its residence permit, only that it is not a permission to reside in the UK rather than a mere confirmation of right to reside.

Thanks for reply

I sent EU1 form and will take about 4 to 6 weeks and by then it could be 10 weeks job and I think minimum 3 month should be enough.....I been in Ireland for 4 month now and by that time it could be 6 month and I am hoping it might be enough time.

But still if you think it won't be then any suggestion please ???

The original question was, Is it better to travel to UK with a EEA Family permit, or just enter UK without EEA family permit.

Experts and learned members may please give their input about this specific query of OP.

What are the benefits of obtaining or not obtaining EEA Family permit?
