housing benefit does. it effect future eea4 ?

Hi there my wife got her PR last year december and she has been claiming housing benefits since febuarey now housing benefits wants my details also as we living together as a family, Now my question is does that mean they will put me as a joint claimant ?? I dont want to claim and ruin my eea4 due in 8 months time....Will all this effect my PR ? Please respond.
