Subject : If Tier 1 General ILR gets refused in Many 2015, what are options as there will be no extension!!

Hi all ,
As we all are aware that Tier 1 Main Applicant can extend his visa till 5 April 2015 and there will be no further extension for main applicant.

Suppose Mr Xyz applied for ILR through post under Tier 1 General Just 28 days before current visa expiry on 10th April 2015 and ILR application get refused for whatever reason and his visa would be already expired.
What are options to stay legally in UK?

As it wise to get an extension for peace of mind in April 2015?

any help please . it is very important to know what are options available apart from tier 2 for tier one general 5 year route after ILR refusal after tier one general extensions are also closed .

If he is not qualified, then he should apply for an extension.

If he is qualified, then there is no need to apply for an extension.

Hi,

This is catch-22. If you apply now at PEO and later at ILR, it would be double fees but you get peace of mind. If you don't apply for extension now, go for ILR direct and in case of any issues you may not have alternative.

I got my Tier-1(G) renewal at PEO even though I know I'm eligible for ILR later this year. It was my choice to guarantee peace of mind.

Check rules on ILR refusal appeal, I'm not an expert on this. All that I know is for certain refusal reasons applicant can apply for an appeal.

he will be qualified before Applying for ILR however as there will be no tier one extension for Tier one and Visa will be already expired.
what possible routes to take from there .

people in the past would extend their visa and will reapply for ILR but there will be no tier one extension ... dead end ???

As suggested earlier if you want to cover the "what if" outcome of ILR application, get an extension before 5th April (next week-end) so that you can continue to be in the country for some more time to deal with the "what if" situation.

I think this is the only way.

very bad situation for Tier 1 General holders , My ILR case is very straight forward but you never know . i think it would be hard to secure appointment now as well.

can you please just confirm what form you had used for your second extension ?

Yes, I agree. This has been a stressful time for a lot of us.

It is worth checking for PEO appointments, some PEOs are working on Saturday too. If not send your application by post. Some post offices are working on Saturday.
