Tier 2 Extension before 5 April 2015

Dear manci/mods/gurus,

i am currently on tier 2 general valid till Dec 2015.
My company has currently got a cos allocation and i was wondering if it is possible for me to apply a visa right now before april 5, with a valid cos.
The reason to apply is to save some money on medical surcharge fee.

An urgent reply today will be much appreciated.

Also, besides a completed form, is there anything else that needs to be attached for the extension application?

if the company assigns a CoS to you there is no reason why you couldn't apply before 6 April (this week)

The only reason i was confused was since the current leave is not expiring till dec and i am not changing employer as well, the employer will effectively be assigning start dates on cos as June 2015 to june 2018, although the last cos that current employer gave had the end date of 28 Nov 2015.
So there will be a time which is overlapping in 2 different cos with the same employer.
Would this be acceptable? Many thanks again.

I was assigned a cos and I have submitted the online application.
The checklist has asked me to send passport and BRP for me and dependent, alongwith a photo.
Is this all that i need to send? No cohab documents or bank statements?

maintenance not required for extension applications but do send cohab documents (to forestall eventual enquiries by UKVI)

any document that shows that you and your partner are living at the same address, e.g. bank statement if you have a joint account, tenancy agreement, utility bill, GP registration, etc,

Do the Business Development Manager(Soc: 3545) role comes under Non-shortage occupations or Shortage occupations?

I'm confused. Please help me which one is applicable for me? I need to pay the fee.
