Post by RizwanMurtaza » Mon Mar 30, 2015 5:47 pm

Hi Manci and others,

me(tier 2) and my wife(Tier 2 dependent)visa is going to expire on august 2015, due to new rules from 6th of april about NHS surcharge i asked my employer to issue me new certificate so i can apply for extension before 6th april , they issued me cos I filled the online form, add a dependent(wife)and paid fee.

document i attached with file is
1 Bank statement,
2 payslips ,
3 letter from employ
my only worry is do i need to provide any other document to show the relation ship marriage certificate etc ??
or is there anything i need to add in my application....

In country extension you don't need explicit document. Marriage certificate is enough

Hello Blocked Username

You don't need to attach
1 Bank statement,
2 payslips ,
3 letter from employ

You only need to include the Marriage Certificate for dependent.

Dear Rizwan,

I was asking this question today at the forum, but so far nobody replied, so I decided to ask you, as you seem to have done what I am trying to do. You applied for Tier 2 extension at the same time with your dependant, right? And you used the online application? If that is so, did you use this form for yourself https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... r2-general and this for your dependant https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... nt-partner ? My concern is, the latter form is said to be a separate application, so I was wondering, can one send both the main applicant's and his dependant's documents in the same envelope after that? Or do you send the documents separately and these are two separate applications indeed?
I was told that soon there will be an online tool to do the family applications, but currently the paper forms must be used - but I don't see why these separate online forms can't be used, just at the same time?

Thank you very much in advance!

Best regards,
Iakov

When you start the application process
https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... r2-general
it will ask you to add dependent child or partner.
select partner and fill the details of your partner, after payment you can download the form (1 form )which will have details of both applications. hope this will be helpfull

Oh.. Really?? Are you sure this is not just the "dependant part" of the main application, and one doesn't have to fill a separate form for a dependant? In that case they must have changed that recently, because everywhere it is said that dependants have their separate applications ("It’s best to send your dependants’ applications at the same time as yours but they can apply at a later date." from here https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/family-members)... or I misunderstood that completely.

Thank you very much for your answer!

Best regards,
Iakov
